My functional pottery explores the joyful, yet temporary, moments in the life of plants. The forms I chose all enhance or imitate this decoration. I am currently interested in the graphic nature of Aspen trees, the stable lines of rectangular vases, the vibrant color and soft petals of poppies, and the complex structure of criss-crossing Rosemary leaves.

I work with porcelain fired to a mid-range temperature. My forms are thrown on the wheel or slab built. The surfaces are hand painted with underglazes or slips.
